Will a queen size sleeper sofa fit into the living area of a 31ft 1969 Airstream camper?
The original couch in the Airstream we are purchasing has been removed. In replacing it, we decided to find a sleeper sofa so that it can function as an extra bed as well.
We are purchasing it tomorrow in a different state and I’ve been looking in that area for a sleeper sofa as well and found one but it has a queen size pull out mattress.
All I have found so far online that ppl have used are full size sleeper sofas. I know generally there isn’t much difference in a full or queen but I have no idea of the measurements within the airstream’s living room area…and wanted to know if anyone has used a queen sleeper sofa in their Airstream of around the same year?
Thanks for all the smart-ass answers guys- I mean seriously, of course I would measure it & then measure the sofa but as I stated it is in a different STATE and the guy that owns it right now doesn’t know or have a tape measure.
I will be able to measure it for myself once I’m there but I THOUGHT perhaps someone may have been in the same situation and know if one will fit or not.
Why bother to respond if you don’t know the answer??? I mean, C’mon!!!

measure the airstream then measure the sofa. not that hard.

A futon is about the best you will do, for the make/model camper you are considering . . . conventional sofa/sleepers need more room to ‘open out’ than you will have, regardless of which direction you place it, in the standard floor plan . . . good luck!

it should! if it’s a 31ft long by 12ft wide.

Measure the space and then make sure you measure the door your putting it thru. Most people make the mistake of not measuring the space of which the couch will be fitting thru.
